Smaller Earth are delighted to announce that Iza Gyuricza has been appointed as the new CEO.

With over a decade of senior leadership experience within the global business, Iza was a natural choice to lead Smaller Earth through the next period of growth. Having held the COO position for the past few years, she steered the organisation through the significant challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Through her work alongside other members of the leadership team, Iza brought the business out of COVID well-placed to capitalise on the return of travel, demonstrated through an incredible season return of travel and cultural exchange.

Dave Robinson, the Smaller Earth founder, says,

We are all delighted that Iza has accepted the position of CEO for Smaller Earth. Iza has been working for Smaller Earth in various roles for over 16 years, most recently as COO, and has been a key person in guiding the company through the serious challenges we faced during Covid. As we emerge from the crisis, Smaller Earth has a new Vision and ambitious plans. Iza is the perfect person to lead this exciting new chapter thanks to her passion for the industry and her intimate knowledge of the people and the workings of Smaller Earth. We congratulate Iza and look forward to working with her in this new role.”

Iza adds,

“After 16 years with the Smaller Earth family, I’m proud and excited to accept this new role as CEO. We’re entering a new phase of growth as a business, and thanks to the work of the entire team and our partners throughout Covid, we’re now well placed to deliver on the return of travel. We’ve all been energised by the strong recovery of cultural exchange in 2022, and Smaller Earth are looking forward to contributing further to that in 2023 and beyond.”

In Iza’s new role as CEO, she will be responsible for the strategic growth of Smaller Earth, which involves our 14+ offices and franchises centred around the vision to be global leaders in life-changing cultural exchange by 2030.
